My name is Shaima, I am the daughter of Terra Khadir. My mother has been through an enormous ordeal throughout her life, one thing after another, from a rough marriage to her health taking a turn for the worse to her daughter passing unexpectedly in 2020. She has been battling long term illnesses such as MS and debilitating ulcers lasting over 10 years. In July of 2025 I convinced her to come live with me, as her health was failing fast. Throughout that July, what started as leg weakness and fatigue turned out to be Guillain-Barré Syndrome. She spent a month at UC Davis to learn her full paralysis will be permanent, and her hopes were skilled nursing facilities and hospice.

During her time from facilities, her disability income was removed, this was her only source of income. This has left her with no money for expenses such as weekend nurses and comfort costs. She is currently terminal and in at home hospice. We don't have the means to pay for cremation, I am disabled and cannot work and she has little to no income. I have spoken to a funeral home and with a discount, the cost is $1,000.
