Dexter needs our help!

Hi everyone,

I'm Liane, Dexters dog walker.

Back earlier this year, I noticed Dexter was struggling on his walks due to pain. So his wonderful parents went and got him checked out where he was diagnosed with elbow dysplasia.

They did everything they could to strengthen and stabilise his joints and he was nearly back to enjoying life properly when disaster struck.

Dexter developed a severe autoimmune disease that nearly cost him his life. Thankfully, his family acted fast after noticing abnormal bruising and rushed him to the emergency vet. From there, he was transferred to a specialist hospital, where his platelet count had dropped to zero.

Since then, Dexter has been undergoing chemotherapy. While he remains very anemic, he is thankfully making progress.

Unfortunately, Dexter’s insurance hasn’t paid out to cover his hip dysplasia, with his autoimmune condition to deal with on top it has left his family to face mounting vet bills, which now exceed £10,000.

It isn't my place to say, but as a family, they have gone through so much more than any family should have to face in this year alone.

If we can come together to ease some of their financial and emotional burden, it would mean the world to them—and to me. Any donation, big or small, will help support Dexter and his family as they navigate the final stretch of this incredibly tough journey.
