Anthony's Road To Recovery
Donation protected
On the afternoon of December 31st, while camping in Ocotillo Wells, our group of 11 went on a ride out toward Superstition. Shortly after, our group got separated so half of us pulled over to the side. With the attempt to gather us all together, my brother-in-law, Anthony Castro, hopped on his KTM250 and tried catching up with the other group.
Unfortunately, we are thinking that low visibility due to heavy sut caused him to ride into a lip of dirt on the outside of a drainage ditch ejecting him forward, hitting his head, and flipping onto his back.
Thankfully, good samaritans found Anthony and aided him, calling our family from his cell phone and calling 911. Anthony had to be life flighted twice that evening, once from Ocotillo Wells to Pioneer Hospital, then again to Desert Regional Palm Springs where he remains being treated.
The injuries he has sustained are a concussion, brain bruising, split tongue, broken ribs, a collapsed lung, lacerated liver, a pelvic fracture, and a lower spine fracture. He has undergone spinal and pelvic surgery and has a long road to recovery.
We are grateful to everyone who has reached out with thoughts and prayers. Any funds will be used to help Anthony recover from his accident.
Please continue to pray for my brother-in-law Anthony.
