Support Paul's Family During His Recovery

Hi, my name is Kristin and I’m fundraising for my closest friends and their family. On Thursday, May 30th 2024 Paul and his son Gionni were driving down our neighborhood road to pick up Kayla, Paul and Tracey’s daughter, from work. Tragically Paul didn’t make it to pick up Kayla. Paul and Gionni were hit by an impaired driver causing Paul’s car to be completely totaled and unrecognizable. Their son sustained injuries but Paul took the brunt of the impact while protecting his son. Paul was taken to a local hospital but upon seeing his severe injuries he had to be life flighted to a trauma hospital that could treat his injuries. Paul sustained a broken pelvis, fractured back, a brain bleed, fractured collarbone,a broken leg in 3 places, broken hip and knee, a broken ankle, and broken ribs, and a tear in his aorta. He has been placed on a ventilator to help heal his lungs but unfortunately he developed ARDS (accute respiratory distress syndrome)a condition in which fluid collects in the lungs' air sacs, depriving organs of oxygen.

The doctors have performed one surgery of many so far on his ankle. The doctors have also paralyzed his body so it can rest and heal. Surgery is on hold at the moment until his respiratory distress heals.

Paul is a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, son, brother in law and an extremely hard worker so he can provide a beautiful life for his family. Unfortunately due to this accident he won’t be able to work for quite some time if ever again. I ask all of Paul’s friends, family, coworkers to please give what you can to help with the households finances while Paul is severely injured and unable to work and provide for his family.

Everyone that knows Paul or who meets him loves him. He’s a gentle grizzly bear. He loves his family, his friends and would do absolutely anything he could for them. Anything you could give would be greatly appreciated by Paul and his family. I’ve known Paul personally for most of my life and I can vouch for everything that’s been written. I consider him and his family part of my family. Any little bit helps. Please also send prayers his way as he starts his long journey to recovery.
