I’m reaching out to ask for help saving the life of my beloved cat, Mochi.

Mochi is only 4 years old and in perfect health. He’s the sweetest boy ever who loves to play and explore. He especially loves when people hold him so he can pretend to be tall and see all the high-up places he can’t usually reach. He’s also super affectionate and loves cuddling under a blanket when it’s bedtime.

Unfortunately, a family member of mine left a sewing kit unattended in my home, and Mochi managed to swallow some thread before it was put away. The thread caused an intestinal blockage and vomiting. After a 2am visit to the emergency vet and several hours of fluid therapy, I got the news that Mochi will only be able to recover from the blockage with expensive intestinal surgery. If he can’t get the surgery, euthanasia is the only other option.

At an estimated cost of $6,000-8,000, the surgery is much more than I can afford right now. But I’m putting it on credit and doing everything I can to save my boy’s life. He’s so young and doesn’t deserve to suffer like this.
