On Tuesday, August 4th, 2020, my best friend and her family suddenly and unexpectedly lost their mother, wife, and grandmother (Mimi), Melissa Eldridge. Melissa (Missy) Eldridge was a beautiful woman, both inside and out. She was loud and honest. She always made you feel loved and was always so welcoming to everyone. Missy would give you the shirt off of her back and her last twenty bucks. She always put her family first; she loved Lindsey, Carter, Matt, and Harper more than words could ever express. She had the most contagious laugh and beautiful smile. Missy gave the tightest hugs and kisses, and I'd give anything for one more. She gave great advice, whether you wanted it or not. She was quick-witted and hilarious. She would always be there to help anyone in a second, no questions asked. Missy was and is an angel. Everyone deserves a Missy in their lives. Anyone who speaks about Missy or Matt Eldridge will always share the same feelings that they would have done anything for anyone and were always willing to help others.
During this difficult time, we are asking for some help for the family. As you may know, visitation and funeral arrangements are unfortunately very expensive. Any donation that anyone would be able to make would be so greatly appreciated to help her family during this incredibly difficult and painful time. If you are unable to donate, please just share this link. I know the entire family would be extraordinarily appreciative for any help anyone could provide.
The visitation service for Melissa Eldridge will be held on Saturday, August 8th, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville, Illinois. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for any contribution you may be able to provide.
