For those who do not know me, my name is Estelle, Kim's co-worker and friend. I have known Kim for 25 years while working at the Long Beach Police Department. Kim and I were both Detectives and recently retired the end of 2014.
Right after our retirement, Kim was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer Stage III. Kim had a huge surgery in December with alot of complications and pretty much spent the entire month of December and part of January in the hospital.
Kim will begin chemotherapy soon for 4 months. Her spirits are high and positive and she is looking forward to getting started on this journey.
You must know that Kim and Angel moved to Sacramento to adopt and take care of children who had lost both parents. Kim also buried her sister to cancer and Angel has had her battle with cancer this last year also.
Needless to say, the bills are starting to stack up and a few things have to happen so that Kim can have her chemotherapy safely.
The upstairs carpet has to be pulled up and replaced with a hard surface for a sterile enviroment for "infection reasons"
Kim and Angel's stove is in need of repair as well.
We all see Kim and Angel lead by example in adopting these children and helping so many families in need.
I am sure if Kim knew we were raising funds for her she would not allow it. So many people have reached out wanting to know how to help.
Please help me in raising funds to ease Kim & Angel's fight with what is sure to be a hard climb ahead for them.
Thank you in advance, may this New Year be everything and more for all!
Love,
Estelle
