Eric's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
To those reading this and are lucky enough to call this man my friend, you may not know—since Eric is a very private person—that he was involved in a horrible car accident last month.
He suffered a fractured left arm, shattered right acetabulum, broken right leg with torn ligaments, and broken right ankle. He recently had several surgeries and his prognosis is good. He was just discharged to a rehab facility this week and is on the road to recovery. However, due his injuries, he is unable to bear weight on his lower extremity and cannot work for the next 3+ months.
I know this disruption will have an impact on his ability to meet medical and financial expenses and I wanted to create this GoFundMe page to help Eric out. I was not asked to do this by anyone, but I believe there is goodness in us and a desire to help someone during challenging times.
Eric is kind and a genuinely nice person. I met Eric two years ago when I started a new job. He has always been a great mentor, coworker, and now, someone I call a friend. He is down-to-earth, honest, and witty —I’m sure he’s put a smile on your face before with his sense of humor or roasted you into tears. I know Eric hates asking for help, but he’s also one of the most generous people I know and is always the first person to offer help.
I believe it is time that we send back some positivity Eric’s way. I hope to reach out to everyone who knows him or anyone kind enough to help someone in need.
