Please Help Save My Best Friend’s Life

It is with a heart filled with fear and deep sadness that I write this. My little guy Washburn has a bowel obstruction and requires surgery. Sadly, this is happening at a time when I was already in financial crisis because of an emergency move to escape domestic violence. Now I am scrambling (and yes, begging) for funds to finance his surgery and save his life.

Wash and I have been together since he was a new born kitten. He is the light of my world and together with his brother Malcolm, acts as my emotional support animal. He is trained to know my panic attacks and depressive episodes and comes to my side to calm and soothe me when I am in emotional distress. It is killing me that after years of supporting me, I am now unable to support him in his hour of need on my own.

His vet bills including surgery will come in over $5000. This includes his hospital stay, anesthesia, surgery, meds and aftercare.

I am using every penny I have but still need to raise about $2k.

I don’t know how to ask for help. It’s always been my weakness. I don’t know what I can say here to persuade you to help him, other than to ask, no, beg for your help to save his life. His prognosis is excellent with the surgery and dire without. If you can find it in your heart to scrape up a few bucks to help a sister and her beloved pet out, we would be forever grateful.
