Hi everyone, I normally wouldn’t ask for help like this, but our family is going through something incredibly difficult right now. My dad has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that has spread to his brain and bones throughout his entire body. My siblings and sister in law need to be attentive to my dad because things could become ugly very quickly. This has put a financial strain onto my family. My dad is currently undergoing treatment to help slow the cancer and give him as much time and comfort as possible. He will need ongoing treatments, appointments, and scans for the rest of his life. He has been disabled for life by his doctor. Right now, one of our biggest worries is that he will soon lose his primary insurance, starting 5/15/26 he will no longer have coverage. While we wait to hear back about Medi-Cal coverage, he still needs to continue treatment and medical care without interruption. Unfortunetly he will have a gap in treatment which is essential to diminsh his pain. To keep his current insurance active, it will cost about $200 a session out of pocket, which is becoming extremely overwhelming for our family. We created this GoFundMe to help cover his insurance costs, treatments, scans, and other medical expenses during this time. Any donation, no matter how small, would truly help more than words can explain. Even sharing this page or keeping my dad in your thoughts and prayers means so much to us.
