Help Us Stay Together in the UK

Donation protected
Dear friends and family,

As many of you know, I moved to the UK with my daughter Vi in January to start a new life to escape the chaos in the U.S. and keep her safe, and I still believe it was the right choice. But now, we're at a difficult crossroads, and I need your help.

To secure a family visa that allows Vi to stay and bring Heather (and the dogs) over to join us, I need to land a job paying over £30,000 a year. I’m actively interviewing and working with several recruiters, and after refining my CV and finally sorting out LinkedIn (yes, it matters here!), I had an interview last week, two scheduled this week, and what looks like at least two more on the horizon.

We’ve found a cheaper house and learned how to cut costs, but the move came with unexpected expenses—basic household necessities, clothing Vi outgrew, and countless items not provided to us either here in Middlesbrough or in Blackburn, from basic cooking tools to things like brooms and mops.

We’re finally turning the corner— I may even have an offer soon— but we need help to get through this critical moment. If you're uncomfortable with the idea of donating, just let me know and I’ll treat your help as a loan and repay you 125% once I'm working. I know the economy is not doing well right now and I don't want anyone to do something they can't afford to do. Please don't feel any sort of guilt if you're unable to contribute. Moral support is really helpful too, I promise.

Thank you for considering it. Every bit brings us closer to staying together, safely and permanently, as a family.
