WarrenMtn. Kennel Fire Relief Fund

Early on the morning of January 6th, Warren Mountain Rat Terriers suffered an electrical fire in their kennel. Sadly, this fire resulted in the loss of two adult dogs and the serious injury of three others, including the sire of one of the top Rat Terriers in the AKC. Carmetta French has worked tirelessly the past 11 years to encourage and support responsible breeding of Rat Terriers and has been on the board of directors for her local Rat Terrier UKC club as well as currently serving as membership secretary for the American Rat Terrier Association and the East Coast director in the past. The three dogs injured in this fire are being treated at Valley Animal Hospital in Waitsfield VT. and at least one is expected to have a difficult recovery. (The dog pictured in the photo here had the most severe burns.) The structure was a total loss and will probably have to be rebuilt from scratch. WarrenMtn. Kennel is a small, family owned kennel where every dog is deeply loved like a family member, which makes the loss and injury of these companions all the more tragic. Carmetta has always been one who would go out of her way to help and mentor those interested in her breed. She gives everything she can help to others, so would you please consider a donation to help offset some of her veterinary costs for the three dogs in vet care and to help rebuild her kennel? Thank you!
