Roosevelt Surgery

Roosevelt is a year and a half to two year old mastiff picked up as an injured stray in Dallas, Tx. He was wearing a rabies tag but it did not have enough information on it so the shelter could not follow up to try and find the owners. Due to his tag they are required to hold him for ten days to give the rightful owners a chance to find him. The problem with Roosevelt is he has major damage to his back leg that requires immediate medical attention so they reached out to DFW Furgotten Friends for help due to the experience we have with broken legs and amputations. No one wants to see this big sweet boy suffer or possibly die from a blood clot so we agreed to take him and get his leg fixed even with the chance that the rightful owners would step up to claim him. We've started a go fund me for Roosevelt so every dime can go to his surgery and recovery. Hopefully if the owners do come forward they will be willing to pay the vet bill but we never count on things like this. We will post a link to the go fund me shortly.
