Special Needs Bicycle for Carmen
Donation protected

Carmen Mariah is 13 years old and from here in Central Illinois and Carmen has a rare disease called schizencephaly. From that she deals with daily seizures, cerebral palsy, vision impairment, failure to thrive, non verbal. Carmen is dependent on her mother for complete care. Carmen is generally the happiest little girl you could ever meet. She loves music, people, going fast, water/ swimming and watching her movies. I am always searching for the best next thrill or experience to give my little girl! We have wanted a bike for her for years but other needs have made that dream take a backseat. Example new van with rear entry and trying to get our house to accommodate her for safety reasons such as overhead lifting, due to her height and weight.
One of the things that Carmen Mariah always wanted to do was ride a bicycle, because of her condition there is no way that is possible on her own. We are going to try to raise the money to purchase her this ..... Van Raam front loading wheelchair bicycle.
Or look here.

With this bike they can load her wheelchair directly onto it and it has electric assist motor on it so she would be able to be taken on extended rides...up to 30 miles on a charge.
These bicycles are very expensive, $9,638.67 to be exact...Which includes the electric assist engine and the ability to easily separate the bicycle into sections for transporting it to parks, riding trails etc...
Any amount will help get us to the goal of almost 10k even a one dollar donation is one dollar closer Carmen is to enjoying her bicycle.
Remember as a child the freedom you felt riding your bicycle on a warm summer day with the wind in your face? Lets help this little girl enjoy this spring and summer on a bicycle like we all did!
Thank You !!!
