Help Michelle Fight CANCER
Donation protected
I am here to try and help our dear friend Michelle Murphy FIGHT and BEAT the beast known as CANCER! There is no one more deserving of any help we can provide. The battle ahead is going to be HARD! We would like to help her on the financial side. The bills are already piling up and will only continue to do so. I will keep you all updated on her journey here on this page. PLEASE I BEG you to give what you can and SHARE on all your platforms so God willing we can get her through this! Here is the start our friends story..
About 6 weeks ago, Michelle had a pretty bad pain on her actual shoulder blade bone. She not having a primary doctor, went to urgent care. There, they put her on steroids, muscle relaxers and anti inflammatory pills. Fast forward a month later. She woke up with her shoulder twice the size it should be. She gave it a couple days, thinking maybe she just slept wrong and it'd go away. It didnt.. Last Monday, She finally gave in and went to see a PCP. The Doctor was baffled at what she was looking at. Unsure and wanting to rule out infection, she sent Michelle for an emergency MRI. Due to Covid and how that seems to complicate and slow all healthcare treatment down right now it wasn't done until that weds. She also had blood work done to check for an infection. Michelle got the call Weds night that NO ONE would ever want to get. Not only did her blood work indicate cancer, But there was a HUGE mass in her shoulder. Measuring at the time 8cm long and 2.5cm in diameter. Understandably her heart sank!! Michelle has been diagnosed with Stage 4 multiple myeloma. How can this be happening!?! Something incredibly rare espcially at her age. Her life as she knew it, over at this time! She was told to immediately go on leave from work. Since then, She had a biopsy done on her shoulder as well as more CT scans done on her stomach, chest and pelvis. Those scans also brought more bad news. Michelle has several Lesions/Nodules in her chest (lungs), pelvis and also her shoulder. She now needs a petscan to see where else it has metastasized to in her body, along with a bone marrow biopsy! She is on meds consistently to TRY to keep the excruciating pain she is now dealing with bearable. She has already needed 2 blood transfusions in the last 2 days along with platelets. While at the hospital receiving the last transfusion she tested positive for covid-19. On top of everything else.. Just when she thought things could not get any worse, she was informed yesterday that her next set of labs require an upfront cost of $2600. Michelle said, that never in a million years could she have been prepared or ever thought this would be the news she would recieve and what her life would become, especially at only 36 years old. Those that know Michelle know, she is not the type of person to ask for help. THIS right here is probably the hardest part of it all so far! She has cried so much in the last week. Feeling, in her words, incredibly useless. She has always been super independent and now needs help even just getting to the doctor appointments amongst other daily things. At this point she is trying to focus on her life physically, mentally, and emotionally! Keeping her above water financially is such an important part if she is to be successful! If you read through all of that, Michelle and her family truly THANK YOU with everything they have! Michelle is a 1 in a million type friend, she will show up no questions asked and help anyway she can! I ask you if you can and feel led to PLEASE help me help her! We can lesson her load, and take the EXTREME financial stress that accompanies a cancer diagnosis off her and ger families back . In doing so, our dear friend can focus solely on BEATING this horrible disease that has impacted everyone of us in one way or another!! Michelle truly appreciates all the prayers, good juju, and any sharing of her funding page. EVERYTHING helps, NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL. Thank you so very much. God Bless.
