This Wilson Middle School VEX IQ (2501W) robotics team is in their first year of competition. During this year they have earned an Excellence Award at one of their tournaments, earning them a spot at the U.S. Open National Tournament. In a recent regional tournament, 2501W earned the Design Award. This award is given to the team that demonstrates the ability to implement the most effective and efficient robot design process and includes an Engineering Notebook. 2501W also earned the STEM Award that is presented to the
team that shares the most effective STEM Research Project presentation. This presentation, as well as the followup discussion with Judges, effectively demonstrates the students’ significant depth of understanding of their topic and research findings. The presentation will also highlight the students’ work in sharing what they learned in an
effective format.
The top award at Regionals was also awarded to 2501W - the Excellence Award, which earned them a spot at VEX IQ WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!!
Funds are needed for entry fees, hotel and travel expenses to Louisville, KY April 23rd - April 26th.
