Hello, my name is Dr. Vednita Carter. God has used me for the last 33 years to help prostituted woman and girls escape sex trafficking--my life's work. I have founded and led the Globally recognized "Mother-Organization" Breaking Free, and am considered a pioneer in the anti-sex-trafficking movement. God has called me away from the organization I founded back in 1996 to develop my new mission, Vednita Carter Ministries, that will help support women across the United States. I cannot do this alone-- I need your help.

I recently received a call from a trafficking victim seeking refuge from her perpetrator. Never abandoning this work, I sprung into action to help her escape. After several calls, I received a glimpse of hope! I found an organization that had space for her. While assisting with her intake, it was discovered that she was still actively being trafficked and subsequently denied shelter because she was still "considered" to be actively prostituting. Heart-breaking.

This go-fund me will serve as the official kick-start to Vednita Carter Ministries. This Ministry's launch is broken down into 5 phases over the next 5-years. The will of God is that when each phase has been completed, women will now be able to seek refuge from their captors utilizing resources provided by Vendita Carter Ministry members and partnerships across the United States and beyond. Our members will ensure women and girls will be provided with safe transitioning, shelter/housing, medical care, food, clothing, support, and more to re-enter society after they have healed and become productive and independent citizens.

This Kick-Start will help support Phase 1:

Phase 1: Education & Training ( Desmistify, Educate, Train, Facilitate, all things sex-trafficking)

1. Our primary goals in this phase is to develop educational and marketing materials to equip all faith-based organizations that have already expressed their interest and those who will be coming on board.

2. We will work to complete the Ministry's Training Program, which will cover proven successful trauma-informed methods on how to work with sex-trafficked victims. Upon completion, we will make this specialized training accessible to faith-based organizations across the United States and beyond via in-person or virtual means.
