Help Andrea and her kids through cancer treatment

Hello. My name is Sonia and I am Andrea’s Aunt. I am reaching out to our community to help Andrea Smith and her children with upcoming medical expenses, regular monthly bills and mortgage payments.

Andrea was recently diagnosed with aggressive Thyroid cancer. Surgery was done several months ago, unfortunately, they didn’t get it all, and it's come back. She will be going in for emergency surgery immediately. They will remove her entire thyroid and lymph nodes around her neck. It's a very serious surgery. She will be unable to work for several weeks. In addition, she will start chemotherapy after the surgery.

Andrea is self-employed. As you might imagine, this is going to put a huge strain on her finances, her home, and her already very stressful situation. She’s been through a lot. Many of you know her story. Not only having to deal with the cancer, but also the stress of keeping up as a single parent with 4 children and a tough co-parenting situation.

Andrea is an amazing mom who pours her life into each one of her children. The bond they share, is literally everything to them, especially in light of what she, and they, continue to go through.

We thank each and every one of you, who may offer any help to get Andrea and her kids over this huge hurdle. She will be on very restrictive diet for the next several weeks and has the meal planning covered. In lieu of a meal train, as friends have offered, your contributions would help.

It is hard to ask. She of course did not. We just know what’s ahead for her.

We have all had our share of cancer. Cancer sucks. It hurts us all. And we all need help at some time in our lives. For Andrea, the time is now.
