On September 29th, 2025, our father, Jim Goocher suffered a heart attack. He was rushed to the emergency room. Our family was terrified to learn that he would need to have open heart surgery in order to clear the blockage in his arteries. Thankfully, surgery went well for the most part and his heart is looking healthy. Unfortunately, Jim’s lungs are not in good enough condition for him to breathe on his own. He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital being treated. He has a long road ahead of him while he will be recovering, and while our entire family is here to support him, it will still be an extremely difficult journey. We are asking for donations to help ease the financial burden of our situation. Any donation— no matter the size— is greatly appreciated and will make a great difference. Even if you are not in the position to donate, any support will make a huge contribution.
About Jim: Jim is a father of 3, as well as a grandfather of 3. He has been happily married for 27 years. His whole life he has worked in order to support his loved ones. Jim is also a small business owner. He owns Duke’s Landscape Services, located in Joliet, IL. Jim is a generous, kind hearted person who helps anybody that he is able to. If you know him, you know he loves to laugh. He is such a joyous person and he is able to spread happiness to the people surrounding him. All he has ever done is help others, and now he is in need of some help and support.
