Support Auggie's Recovery Journey

Dear Friends,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to share Auggie’s story.

We woke up the Friday before Christmas to find him suddenly immobile, trying to crawl over to us. He couldn't use his hind legs. We rushed him to the vet's office to find out our worst fear was confirmed: he was paralyzed in his back half thanks to a ruptured disc.

Auggie required immediate spinal fusion surgery to regain his ability to walk. This procedure was a crucial step toward improving his quality of life and allowing him to enjoy his time chasing squirrels with us once more. Thankfully, he is currently on the mend. But as you can imagine, the costs associated with this surgery and the necessary physical therapy sessions are substantial.

While we hate to ask for help, we know that together we can make a difference in Auggie’s recovery journey. Your support means the world to us as we navigate this next stage in his care.

The Expenses:

We are aiming to raise just a little bit more to help offset his sudden medical expenses, including the surgery, ongoing physical therapy, and any additional treatments he may need. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in helping Auggie regain his strength and mobility.

MRI/CT Scan to determine issue: $365.00

ER-Hemilaminectomy Spinal Surgery (including sedation): $9,330.22

Hospitalization/Initial Physical Therapy: $2355.00

Total Surgery Fees: $12,392.22

Extra Hospitalization Costs: $4,296.99
