Hi friends….

On Aug. 17th, I was rushed to the ER, then 30 mins later I had emergency surgery for a perforated bowel. Unfortunately, they found a mass which turned out to be cancer, and now I have a new lil friend, my ileostomy!

I am supposed to move forward with my chemo treatments this week, but found out that my insurance is lacking in what they will pay, which leaves a huge amount I have to provide. I didn’t realize my part would be so expensive, as I have not met my out-of-pocket, and it’s more than I can handle, as I cannot work.

I would normally not ask for help, as “well” you know me (independent and self reliant), but I don’t have a choice. If there is anything you could spare to help me defray the costs of my 6 chemo treatments I would be so grateful. I know we are in hard times, and this is not the normal route I would take, but I am at my wits end.
