Amber's hospital bill

Hi everyone, my name is Luis B. Martinetti and I am raising funds to pay the vet bills for my 3 y/o dog Amber. The last couple of days, she has been feeling sick and when we took her to the Michigan State University (MSU) Veterinary Center, she was severely anemic. Since they don't know what's causing the anemia yet, she is being hospitalized for about a week where they are going to run multiple tests and try to stabilize her. We were told that the anemia could be caused by multiple things including infection, an autoimmune disorder, or even cancer. Since the MSU Veterinary Center is the only pet emergency hospital in the region, and her condition requires hospitalization, the bill is very pricy. The estimate we were given for Amber's care is $6,000 - 8,000, which is a substantial amount of money for a graduate student. UPDATE: Amber came home after 8 days in the hospital and doing a great recovery! However, the bill turned out to be $7,500 plus medication that she needs for a few months and vet visits. Thank you all for your support and I will keep posting updates of Amber!

Desde hace unos dias Amber ha estado muy enferma, y hoy que la llevamos al centro veterinario de Michigan State University (MSU), nos dijeron que tenia anemia severa. No saben que es lo que esta causando la anemia, asi que la han hospitalizado por una semana para hacer pruebas y estabilizarla. La veterinaria nos dijo que la anemia puede ser causada por varias cosas, incluyendo alguna infeccion, un desorden autoinmune, o incluso cancer. Como el centro veterinario de MSU es el unico centro de emergencias para mascotas en la region, y su condicion requiere hospitalizacion, el recibo es muy caro. El precio del tratamiento de Amber sera de $6,000 - 8,000 dolares, cual es una cantidad subtancial para un estudiante de posgrado. Noticias de Amber: A Amber la dieron de alta despues de estar internada por 8 dias en el hospital.
