On September 22, our family was shattered by a heart breaking tragedy. My brother Ronnie Thompson was walking home from work and was hit by a careless driver. He suffered from severe traumatic brain injuries, a fractured skull, multiple fractures in his face, a fractured neck, 4 broken ribs, and a shattered ankle. He underwent 2 emergencies brain surgeries having to have both sides of his skull removed to help reduce the swelling and fluid on his brain. He has been on life support for over 2 weeks fighting for his life. Unfortunately his injuries are so severe his children had to make the hardest decision that no one should endure of taking him off life support, so he no longer has to suffer. To anyone that has ever met Ronnie knows through all the struggles he has faced in life he has always had the biggest heart and would have helped anyone in need. He is continuing to do so by being an organ donor. He will be giving the gift of life. We are raising funds to help support his kids (Jeremiah, Jason, and Roxie) during the hardest time of their lives.
