My name is Kristen Dew. I am the daughter of a strong willed woman named Carol Cockman. If you know my Mom then you know just how true that statement is. You will also know that she would give you anything you needed and do so selflessly. I know that first hand as she was the sole provider to my brother and I after my Father passed away when I was 6.

After several months of being sick my Mom has finally received some answers and has been diagnosed with a rare form of stage 4 gastrointestinal cervical cancer. We have been told that the cancer has metastasized and is inoperable. Her medical team feels chemo is the best treatment. She has not been able to work. I know that has been hard for her. Even as a small child I knew my Mom had a work ethic like none other. I like to think that is one of the many traits she passed down to me.
