This is Wendy, the truth is she is just a mom fighting to see the good stuff. Ten years ago she was told she had 2 months left, go home and get her affairs in order. Wendy doesn't take orders, and certainly not an order tantamount to missing watching her children grow up. So she fought, she did everything she could do to see first days of school, first dances, first everything. And it was hard on her, but she just never gave up.
Now here we are again, and she is being told her time is short as her Amyloidosis and heart worsen. That just will not do. She still has a child in high school, and one in college. Doesn't she deserve to see these girls get married? To see her grandchildren? Boston Medical is offering her that chance with a new clinical trial for only 5 people!
As you can imagine living 800 miles away and flying up there every two weeks for chemotherapy infusions gets pricey, and after all the years of fighting she just doesn't have it. This financial burden is simply too much, too fast to handle. She needs help now.
Wendy has been my best friend all of my life. I have been there for every bit of her fight and I've witnessed her amazing strength and determination. It has been brutal for her, and her fight is far from over. Please help Wendy stay alive. Help her pick out he wedding dresses for her daughters.
