The Lange Family

Guess we’re moving May 30th? We just got a letter saying we must leave by June 1st but it didn’t give a reason. It mentions something about a rental lease ending, but we moved in back in 2017, never got a lease, have asked multiple times with proof and now we only get 30 days to move without warning of a problem. (We just talked to the landlord the other day and she was completely normal.)

We’ve had a lot of issues, like we’ve been waiting on her to replace our dryer over two months, our exhaust fan in the kitchen has been out for years, hole in our bathroom roof for years, all stuff they said they’d be by to fix and haven’t. But I also have my art studio downstairs and have taken the good with the bad.

This letter has us worried though, so now we’re talking to lawyers on Monday and scrambling and asking for anyone who could help recommend a rental or landlord or if you’re a lawyer and know anything about the legality of this I’d love to know.

Bottom line is this may be taking away my ability to do linoprints or any artwork thats a bigger format. It’s already made us cancel our trip to Billy Strings for Red Rocks and most likely will mess up the rest of the shows we have tickets to for the summer. Just when we thought things were looking up with Morgan’s new job promotion.
