Help with funeral costs

On May 16, we tragically lost Drew’s mother, Barbara Leitkowski to complications with lung cancer. Our families live in Southeastern CT, about 700 miles from us. We also lost Drew’s father, Frank, on February 3. Our family has suffered unimaginable loss in only a few months through losing both parents.

Drew and I have both missed quite a bit of work this year between traveling to spend what time we could with family, Frank’s funeral, and trying up loose ends.

The rear end on our van recently died and fixing this is looking like it will be about $1000. We are hoping to be able to have that fixed, rent a car to drive to CT for Barbara’s celebration of life, and cover the basic expenses we will have a hard time paying for by missing time at work.

Any additional funds raised will be given to Drew’s sister, Sarah. Sarah lived with her parents, along with four of her five children, three of them being very young. We are hoping to help Sarah pay for some basic needs, as well as cremation and end of life costs while finances are tied up in probate.

We appreciate any and all help while our family does our best to cover our bases and move through this very sad time.
