On Saturday January 3, 2015, seven days shy of his 71st birthday, Jose Otero went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus. We know he is resting peacefully in God's embrace. We know he is no longer in pain or suffering and that he is salsaing his way through heaven with the loved ones who went before him.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Gumercindo and Ana Maria Otero he lived most of his life in Puerto Rico and New York. He later retired to Southern California with his beautiful Sonia of 44 years.
It is hard to put into words just how amazing Jose was as a husband, father and friend. He is survived by his wife Sonia, his three children Natacha, Jose and Natalie. He is also survived by his sister Ramona Otero, 4 grandchildren (Brandon, Aiden, Hailey and Averie), 3 son in laws (Luis, Brandon and Scott); as well as many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family will receive family and friends on Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Family Mortuary, 1201 North Main Street, Santa Ana, CA 92701.
