Help Jim Save His Home

Hello everyone,

My name is Jim Burke, and I’ve been living by myself for the past 10 years. Sometimes life throws you a curveball and you are forced to do or make it without your love ones around.

I have spent the past 5 years in and out of work due persistent health issues such as strokes, surgeries (shoulder, neck, back, arm and the latest one occurring 3 weeks ago with a gallbladder removal), tourette syndrome, bone degeneration, internal neve damage, severe neck damage after several surgery, pinching nerves causing migraines, severe hypertension, high blood presure, depressions and more recently covid (twice now despite being fully vaccinated). My neighbors know me as someone that is always ready to help his community, that is ready to take up on any handy-man side job in order to maintain living. When healthy, I never shy away from opportunities to make extra money.

Unfortunately, 3 weeks ago, I was transported to the hospital after one of my recent stroke episode. I was then told during check-up that I needed my gallbladder removed, which they did. In yet another twist of events, I tested positive to covid a week after I was released from hospital. I am now stuck in bed with a lot of pain, unable to do much to help myself and with not many I can turn to for help. All these are affecting my ability to recover quickly and get back to work. My recent employer has been really supportive in allowing me to take the time necessary to recover before returning to work. I have not worked or seen a paycheck for the past 2 to 3 months. I used up all my saving and currently staring at a giant abyss.

To make things worse, I received last week an eminent foreclosure notice from my bank due to my inability to consistently pay $981 monthly mortgage for the past 18 months. I am asked to pay two months mortgage by the 29th of December 2021. Afterward all my remaining missed payments will be spread over my future payment.

The simple thought of losing my house makes me sick to my stomach. I may not have my kids or their mom around anymore, but this house is where they were born. It is full of wonderful memory and basically the only thing I have left of those great time. I am beyond depress and don’t know who to turn to. All I have left right now is my dog Sophie who keep me company and pray with me through this time of need.

I tried but do not qualify for disability because I have not contributed enough in the last 5 years.

I am begging you to help me save my house. I am in need of at least $5,000 to cover the 29th and end of the month payment. If possible, please share this post with friends, family, and groups. I am forever grateful.
