Lauren’s road to recovery!
Donation protected
On Monday May 30th, 2022, Lauren was driving back to the New London Ferry in order to go home after visiting friends in Tolland CT. About 15 minutes from the ferry driving southbound on Route 32, she was involved in a very serious car accident, and was hit head on. She was pinned in her car for about 2 hours and was eventually transported to Hartford Hospital by helicopter. She suffered ankle/foot fractures to both legs and has had multiple surgeries to correct them.
While she is in good spirits, the road to recovery has only just begun. She is non-weight bearing for 8-12 weeks and is learning how to maneuver a wheelchair and complete daily activities without using her feet. We are hoping to raise some funds for the large number of medical bills for all of the procedures she has had and therapy she will need, transportation costs and making the home wheelchair accessible.
Any sort of help is appreciated and will help to ease some additional stresses.
