In Memory of Amparo Cerero

The families of the British School of Chicago are asking for your support to help Victor Cerero, and his children Isabel, Melina, Victoria and little Victor, who tragically lost their loving wife and mother, Amparo, after a long battle with cancer on May 26, 2018.

Amparo was well known for her ease of making friends, whom she treasured and kept, many since childhood.  She was a friend to everyone, welcoming all and always helping them in their time of need.

Victor has been with our school since its founding.  He and his brother, Danny, have both been the backbone for our school, serving as conduits for our families and the school in so many ways.  We are so grateful to the Cerero family for their work for our families, so much of it behind the scenes.

Amparo loved Victor, her husband of 18 years, very much.  She was an extraordinary mother and together they have raised 4 beautiful children.  Isabel, 17, will be graduating this Thursday and will be attending UIC.  Melina, 15, is going to be a junior in high school where she has joined the basketball and softball teams.  Victoria, 12, loves to dance and be outdoors.  All three girls are in a folkloric dance team.  Little Victor, 8, plays baseball as his father did when he was a kid.
