Our family is facing an unexpected and overwhelming situation with our cat, Anubis, who has been hospitalized for over a week due to a severe bladder blockage. What started as a frightening emergency quickly turned into a long hospital stay, and after five days, we were told he now needs perineal urethrostomy (PU) surgery in order to survive and have a good quality of life moving forward.

So far, the veterinary hospitalization alone has brought us to nearly $2,000, and the required surgery will cost an additional $3,500. While we would do anything for him, the total cost has become more than we can manage on our own.

He is more than just a pet—he is deeply loved by our three children, and he has a special bond with our infant, who lights up whenever he’s nearby. He’s a constant comfort, a playful companion, and a true member of our family. Seeing our kids worry about him has been incredibly hard, but we’re staying hopeful and doing everything we can to bring him home healthy.
