Hi my name is Eliese, I never would normally do this but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Joel has been through hell and back since July 2024. He initially had knee surgery in July, 3 weeks after feel violently ill and ended up passing out from lack of oxygen, later we found out from sever pneumonia. He was admitted to hospital for almost 2 weeks. He has not been the same ever since. he Has lost his quality of life, can’t work, ride his bike, lift anything, is struggling drastically with his mental state, and is constant chronic pain. he is on a ridiculous amount of pain killers. He has ongoing medical costs and we are to put it bluntly struggling big time!

When he passed out he fell directly on his head and has compressed his c4 through to his c7, he has sever nerve damage which has resulted in over 60% loss of function and muscle wastage in his right dominate arm. We have been to numerous doctors and numerous specialist to see what can be done to help get him back to his normal functioning life. Our last resort is spinal surgery. Which is very risky but his only option. This surgery is $27000 obviously with Joel not being able to work over the last few months and all our medical bills stacking up, this amount is extremely hard for us to get to!

our insurance will cover a portion but we still have a long recovery period ahead of us and ongoing medical costs until we get him hopefully back to normal.

we are on a time restraint to get the surgery done as there is a chance his nerves can die and he be stuck the way he is for the rest of his life. This is our one and only chance to try and get Joel back his quality of life so I ask if anyone can spare anything all to help us in this difficult time I would truely appreciate any help we can get. If you know Joel he would never ask anyone for help but would be the first one to stand up and help any one in need. So I am swallowing our pride on behalf of both of us and asking if anyone can help in any way it would mean the absolute world to us and will hopefully help Joel get his life back. ❤️
