Heyo! My name is JP Soulliere. I’ve been unable to work for the past 2 years due to a sudden disability, and like St. Francis did I’m asking for funds to help with my regular expenses and “necessities.”
The full story, in short: I graduated from Franciscan University with a degree in Philosophy & Sacred Music and began working as a youth minister and music teacher. After an energetic music practice, I spent the next couple weeks bedridden. After repeated doctor’s visits & attempts, my fatigue proved chronic and I ended up losing both jobs. My family grew more resistant to the situation though I explained everything in detail. Though no longer bedridden, my condition has continued, leaving me relatively homeless & dependent on the generosity of others.
I practically need help to me get through this difficult section of my life. Right now the biggest expense I’m working towards is a car, repairs, & insurance. A car would help me have independence in getting food, medical appointments, and to churches to pray. These expenses may seem like what you were “expected” to pay as part of growing older, but these are precisely what I reasonably can’t pay for due to my inability to work stably.
St. Francis was basically kicked out of his parents’ house, then lived in a ditch for a while. Afterwards he literally rebuilt churches, then finally he founded the religious order we know him for. I’m in a similar situation of tragedy & trying to rebuild, asking for the basic necessities of life like he did begging on the streets. I believe God has a plan for this, & I’ve seen much interior healing despite my external condition remaining.
Would you please consider what you can give from what God has given you? You could be a part of a community that cares for the poor & suffering, which is truly an amazing thing. I may need thousands of dollars to come out of this thriving, but I’ll rejoice & be eternally grateful if you can give a few dollars. I’ll be praying for those who donate, and I know that the prayers of a suffering soul are blessed with an abundance of grace by merciful Jesus. Thanks in advance, and may God bless you and Mary keep you:)
