JP’s 4th Battle vs Leukemia

On November 25th, 2022, I came to the ER for back pain. I thought it might have been a slipped disc or a pulled muscle. Once the blood was drawn, I was made aware that Leukemia was forming in my bones again. This comes only a year after what was supposed to be a successful CAR-T Cell Immunotherapy Transplant. I’m not scared of death, but the news was shocking and terrifying. I love life and won’t go down without a fight.

With the news of leukemia coming back, we were given some options. Firstly, the chemotherapy has started back up as of November 30th. Once the cancer is under control, the doctors suggest a bone marrow transplant. If everything goes according to plan, the transplant will take place in early February of next year.

I’m blessed to have family and friends support me, but I am still under disability, and my insurance doesn’t cover all medications that help me with my pain. I’m asking for help once again with my long fight against leukemia. Anything donated is much appreciated during these challenging times.
