From within the diverse, unique, special, yet also the most disputed city in the world, we decided to create a project that would acknowledge and include all cultures of the city, as we know the enormous potential that the city of Jerusalem entails!

"The Jerusalem Peace Lions"

So... who are we?

We are a sports' team comprised of:

Jews, Muslims, Christians, Atheists, Israelis, Palestinians, Australians, And basically anyone who wants to join!

The sport that we play?

"Australian Football", or "Footy"  in short!


Why should join a game that no one in Israel has heard of?

Great question!

Being introduced to an exciting new sport, we all learn together, fail together, succeed together,, and our experience of growth as a team is greater. None of us are in a position of superiority starting off compared to any of our peers, our mates!

This is a  very physical sport, which is a bit odd for a team that has the "Peace" word in its name. Yet this  is also part of what makes ourteam special and unique, and what helps direct the explosive violence in our city to one united goal -> putting one’s body on the line for the other during game time. We learn how to fall, but also how to pick each other up, we learn to catch but also to defend, to win together, to grow as a team, in a way that makes us a stronger team than any of our competitors!





So why do we need you?

We, "The Jerusalem Peace Lions", are invited to participate in the Australian Football European Championship which will take place in Bordeaux, France, this October!

We NEED to tell our story, the story of sport through struggle, through courage, through passion... through Jerusalem!

With your help, Europe will hear our ROAR of peace,as "The Jerusalem Peace Lions" ROAR!!!





من داخل المدينة الاكثر تنوعًا، الاكثر اختلافًا، الاكثر تميّزًا لكن يسودها صراع، قررنا بناء مشروع تعارف بين الفئات المختلفة في المدينة، كل هذا من رؤية للامكانيات الهائلة لمدينة القدس.
"اسود السلام المقدسيين"
المشروع كله مُأسس على فريق رياضي يتكون من: يهود، مسلمين، مسيحيين، ملحدين، اسرائيلين، فلسطينيين، استراليين، مواطنين جدد وكل من يرغب باللعب بالفريق. الرياضة التي نمارسها تدعى "فوطبول استرالي" او بالمختصر "فوتي".
لماذا نلعب لعبة غير معروفة من قبل العديد من الناس؟ سؤال ممتاز، لاننا هكذا نتعلم سويًا، نفشل سويًا، ننجح سويًا، تجربتنا كفريق اكثر مكتملة، لا يوجد لاعب افضل من باقي اللاعبين، نسأل الاسئلة ونتعلم واحد من الاخر، ولا ننسى ان الرياضة عنيفة نوعًا ما، وهذا غريب ان يكون موجود في فريق اسمه "سلام"، ولكن بمساعدة هذا النوع من الرياضة نحن ندمج ونوّحد الفريق، نتعلم ان نُسقط ولكن ايضًا ان نُنهض ونرفع، نتعلم ان نمسك ولكن ايضًا ان نحمي واحد الاخر، ان نفوز معًا وان نتمتع معًا، هكذا دائمًا نحن الفريق الاكثر اندماجًا!
اذًا، لماذا نحن بحاجة اليكم؟ نحن نوّد مشاركة رسالتنا ل المدينة الاكثر روعة في العالم، ولفرصة السلام بكل اوروبا، نحن نحاول جمع الاموال للمشاركة في بطولة اوروبا للفوطبول الاسترالي التي ستقام هذا السنة في بوردو، ونحن نحتاج للمال طبعًا لفعل هذا.

מתוך העיר הכי מגוונת, הכי שונה, הכי מיוחדת, אבל גם המסוכסכת החלטנו להקים פרויקט של הכרה בין האוכלוסיות השונות בעיר, כל זאת מתוך ראיה של הפוטנציאל העצום של  ירושלים.
"אריות השלום ירושלים"
הפרויקט כולו מתבסס על קבוצת ספורט שמרכיבים אותה: יהודים, מוסלמים, נוצרים, אתאיסטים, ישראלים, פלסטינים, אוסטרלים, עולים חדשים וכל מי שרוצה לשחק. הספורט שאנחנו משחקים נקרא "פוטבול אוסטרלי", או בקיצור "פוטי".
למה לשחק משחק שאף אחד לא מכיר? שאלה מצוינת, כי ככה אנחנו לומדים ביחד, נכשלים ביחד, מצליחים ביחד, החוויה שלנו כקבוצה יותר שלמה, אין אף אחד שהוא יותר טוב מהאחרים, אנחנו שואלים שאלות ולומדים אחד מהשני, בנוסף הספורט קצת אלים, שזה קצת מוזר בשביל קבוצה שיש בשם שלה שלום, אבל גם בעזרת זה אנחנו מגבשים את הקבוצה, אנחנו לומדים להפיל אבל גם להרים, אנחנו לומדים לתפוס אבל גם לשמור אחד על השני, גם לנצח ביחד וגם להינות ביחד, ככה אנחנו תמיד הקבוצה הכי מגובשת שיש.
אז למה אנחנו צריכים אתכם?, אנחנו רוצים לשתף את המסר שלנו על העיר הכי נהדרת בעולם, ועל הסיכוי לשלום בכל אירופה, אנחנו מנסים לגייס כסף על מנת לטוס לאליפות אירופה של פוטבול אוסטרלי שמתקיימת השנה בבורדו, ואנחנו צריכים בשביל זה כמובן כסף.
