Reid is more than just a dog—he’s family. He’s been by Gigi’s side through so many seasons of life, offering unconditional love, comfort, and companionship every step of the way. If you know Gigi, you know how deeply she loves her three dogs.

Over the past few days, Reid’s health took a terrifying turn. He began vomiting repeatedly—more than 15 times in one day—and couldn’t even keep water down. Things quickly got worse when he started vomiting blood. Scared and unsure of what was happening, Gigi rushed him to the emergency vet.

After multiple visits and days without answers, Reid was finally referred to a specialist where he was diagnosed with spontaneous pneumothorax, caused by a ruptured bullae—a bubble on his lung that burst and is now leaking air into his chest. Because of this, his lungs can’t fully expand, making it extremely hard for him to breathe.

Right now, Reid is at a specialist and has a chest tube in place to remove the excess air, which is helping bring him some relief—but it’s not a permanent fix. He needs surgery to repair the rupture, and the cost of that procedure and the care surrounding it is around $12,000.

Gigi is the type of person who gives so much of herself to everyone around her—her clients, her friends, her family—and never asks for anything in return. But right now, she needs us to rally behind her and Reid.
