We are raising seed money to start an Alternative Peer Group in Austin, Texas. Our goal is providing direct support to adolescents and their families and fostering a safe and healthy group for kids to find recovery from the harm caused by alcohol and drugs. We offer a safe place for teens to attend daily meetings and build connections with other members without the added pressures of drugs and alcohol. 

Sadly becoming official costs thousands of dollars. The money donated goes to the legal fees required to start a nonprofit organization as well as to our summer programming we are offering until we officially open in August.

Our team of four consists of people who have all been through and graduated from Alternative Peer Groups ourselves. We have the experience and knowledge needed to create an alternative peer group capable of meeting the needs of Austin.

We are members and allies of the Youth Recovery Network and are currently filing for our personal non-profit status.
