$4000 loss- Stolen Car- Recovered Totaled

On January 8th, 2024, my Kia Soul was stolen from my apartment complex. It was found abandoned a day later, however the damages done to the car deemed it totaled.

My insurance company is paying $6000 for the vehicle, however I still have $10,000 left on my loan. Gap coverage was not offered to me when I purchased the vehicle, and according to the Loan Agency, they would only offer gap if I had applied for it after I purchased the car.

Because of this, I am out $4000 to pay for the remainder of the loan.

Last year, I received surgery that maxed out my insurance deductible, so unfortunately I am not in a position to pay for the $4000 reminder.

Any help would be much appreciated as I need to buy a new used Car, including the $4000 I owe on my previous one.
