The Chadron Art Alley Way’s purpose is to bring an affordable, community involved beautification project that creates culture in our community. Art that starts conversations by celebrating the history of our area in the upmost tactful and respectful way while showcasing the wonderful things that Dawes County has to offer through that of public art and community efforts to make this project come alive. To generate more foot traffic downtown and attract those who otherwise would not take the time to walk around our downtown area. This effort goes hand in hand with creating a demand downtown, generating some organic traffic through non-obligated spending, purchasing or pressure for guests enjoying the views. This project is an effort to lead our guests and community through the historic Downtown Chadron, leading them to the future ground and development of the Downtown Plaza Space. The Art Alley Way is intended to be an on-going project that is an ever-evolving public art piece contributed from community members, kids from the surrounding area schools, Chadron Sate College and collective artist from around the area and is not limited to the west alley way of Main Street between 2nd and 3rd, although will be our main focus starting out. We will be kicking off our first mural on the back of BLOOM during the month of June 2019.38466192_1555185928141971_r.jpeg
