Hi everyone,
I’ve never been great at asking for help, but I’ve learned that sometimes, we can’t do everything alone and that’s okay.
I’m currently enrolled in a nursing program, finally pursuing the path I’ve always felt called to take. This is my second time around in college; my first degree didn't lead me to the life I truly wanted, but this time, I’m chasing a career that means something to me. Nursing is where my heart is.
Getting to this point wasn’t easy. It took me longer than most to find my direction, but now that I’m here, I’m giving it everything I have. I’m enrolled in an ADN program and completing a concurrent BSN track to finish strong. While I’m fully committed to my studies, the reality is that I can no longer work enough hours to keep up with the growing costs of tuition, rent, bills, supplies, and basic needs. I commute 45 minutes each way, three times a week, and with gas prices in San Diego, even that has become a financial strain.
Because I already have a degree, I don’t qualify for FAFSA, and most of my financial aid options are limited. That’s made this journey feel even heavier at times. The stress of trying to stay afloat while keeping my grades up is overwhelming, but I’m still pushing forward.
If you’re able to contribute anything, no matter how small, it would mean the world to me. Your support will help cover:
* Tuition for both ADN & BSN programs
* Rent and basic living expenses
* School supplies, books, and clinical uniforms
* Gas and transportation costs
I’m determined to become a nurse and make a real difference in people’s lives. I just need a little help to make it through this chapter. Thank you for reading, supporting, sharing, or simply sending good thoughts my way.
