From Layoffs to Grand Slams: My Journey to the USTA National Tennis Tournament!
In August 2023 I got laid off from my corporate job.
While it was a difficult time trying to figure out what was next...
I suddenly had more time to focus on my tennis game.
And being a great dad.
I started playing tennis in late 2020 during the pandemic when they took down the basketball rims...
But turns out I love playing tennis!
Over the past few years, I have gone from playing zero tennis in my life to taking lessons, playing in and winning leagues, playing in tournaments, and qualifying for the USTA National Championship!
Help send me to the USTA 3.0 National Championship in San Diego, CA April 5-7.
I will be playing in multiple tournaments/mini tour and taking lessons to prepare for the championship.
Championship Tour:
- March 13 - April 16 - UTR Broward County Single Flex League, Fort Lauderdale, FL
- March 15-17 - 69th Annual Triple Crown City Championships Singles @ Jimmy Everett Tennis Center Fort Lauderdale, FL
- March 23-24 - Adult March Championships @ Lake Cane Tennis Center Orlando, FL (Tentative)
- March 30 - April 1 - Boca Delray Prize Money Open & NTRP Championships Boca Raton, FL
- USTA 3.0 National Championship 18+ Singles @ Barns Tennis Center, San Diego, CA
Accomplishments:
- USTA National Championship Qualifier
- USTA Florida Sectional Finalist
- 2x UTR Fort Lauderdale League Champ
Funds will be used to support:
