Dear Family, Friends, & Supporters Alike:
This is the story of our Son, our Brother, our Friend, Jimmy Plausky. It was about 1 month ago that Jimmy went to the doctor for what was to him a lingering discomfort in his abdomen.What he thought would be something minor turned into the worst possible news he ever expected to hear. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer – no drastic symptoms, no excruciating pain, no major warnings of this life altering discovery.
Jimmy’s story was all about starting new exciting chapters in his life…
He just got married to the love of his life, Liz, in August.
He just turned ‘50’ in October (literally days before his diagnosis).
He was on his way to starting the best years of his life.
Unfortunately, this ugly disease has now changed everything.
As everyone knows, this is an unforgiving and relentless disease that grows stronger every passing day. With this devastating news Jimmy is no longer able to work, and his wife will be taking a Leave of Absence from her teaching career to be there for her husband and be by his side every step of the way.
Both Jimmy and Liz have been as strong as humanly possible. Their burden is undeserved. Their love is ever-growing. But our love and support will help in their trying time of need.
Jimmy has, and always will be, a warrior who never backs down from a challenge. The fight starts now!
