Insurance denied Joy a new liver, but that isn't going to stop her. Even in a hospital bed, where she’s been since Thanksgiving, Joy has continued to be a blessing and put others first; she’s truly a woman who lives up to her name.
My name is Brittany, and I’m asking for help raising the money to transfer my mom, Joy, to a transplant center. Once there, she will have a very high likelihood of receiving a new liver… but in order to make this possible, we have to get her there.
With my mom’s insurance used up, it’s now up to us to raise $210,000 up front to fund the care at the transplant center and the liver transplant itself. There’s nothing my mom wants more than to be able to celebrate the birth of her second grandchild in just a few weeks, or be able to come dress shopping with me as I prepare for my upcoming wedding.
