In Loving Memory of Joy

As we all know, this year marks 10 years since Joy passed away and I thought it would be nice to mark the occasion by dedicating something in her memory.

I have been in contact with Queen's Park, which was a place she loved, and looked into either planting a tree or placing a bench. Unfortunately, you are unable to mark the tree in anyway and I don't think a tree in a park full of trees is significant enough. Therefore I think a bench with a loving inscription would be appropriate and I have created this page to raise the £2400 needed to purchase & install the bench, as well as take care of any repairs/replacement for the next 10 years. The bench will have a total lifespan of 30 years. 

I am hoping that enough of us can contribute towards this to make it happen, however little, it all helps. The plan would be to have this bench installed on the weekend of 21st May.

It takes 4 weeks to go through the process of making arrangements for the bench, so I apologise for the late notice but please contribute sooner rather than latter, ideally by the end of this week. That said you can still contribute up until 21st May.
