Joy's fight with Leukemia

To know Joy is to love Joy. Joy was diagnosed with B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia Philadelphia chromosome positive on January 13th. She was having severe pain in her back, and thankfully that brought her to the ER. After figuring out a diagnosis, they transported quickly Joy to UAB in Birmingham to receive treatment as her ALL is very aggressive. She started receiving treatment the Thursday after arriving in Birmingham, and they let her know that she would need to stay at least a month, but her treatment would be eight months and if she gets to leave Birmingham, she will be traveling back on a weekly basis. She will not be able to work during this time and will be incurring many unknown medical expenses. Thank you so much for considering donating. We know Joy has a long road ahead of her and through lots laughter and tears she has been strong day by day with grace and her pearls on always. We are here to support her 100% of the way.
