Joy's Bed & Breakfast

Hey Everybody! I'm writing to tell you about an exciting adventure I'm embarking on in a couple weeks - my friend Jessy and I are taking our show, Joy's Bed & Breakfast, to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the largest theater festival in the world! We will be living in Edinburgh, Scotland for a month, performing 25 shows back to back.

Joy's is a show that we've been working on for a little over two years now. It used to be a brand new show every month with special guests, and now it has turned into a two woman show that we're taking abroad.

A little bit about our show: Joy (Jessy Morner-Ritt) is the deranged, desperate owner of a dilapidated Bed & Breakfast. Together with her stalwart yet surly Butler (Isabella Gerasole), the two navigate the misadventure and mayhem that lurks behind every crumbling balustrade. A marriage of outlandish outfits and larger-than-life slapstick will have the audience feel as though they're watching a cartoon come to life, just as they become pieces of furniture in Joy and Butler's salon. Joy's was written up in the Comedy Bureau's Best Things in Comedy 2022. We've attached a little trailer you can watch as well to see what it looks like!

This trip is a bit expensive to say the least, and Jessy and I have been fundraising and hocking our wares all over town.
