Joy’s ASHP Midyear Conference in California

Hi Family & Friends! As you know, I’m currently pursuing a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. I graduate in May 2024. After graduation, I will be pursuing a position as a Postgraduate Year 1 resident at a healthcare institution/hospital. These positions are highly competitive and require students to travel to Anaheim, California for the annual American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Midyear Conference for a Residency Showcase in December. This is an opportunity for students to make one-on-one connections/impressions to potential residencies. With that said, this trip is costing me a lot of money that I truly don’t have asa full-time graduate student + head of household. I’m working part-time as a Pharmacy Intern and living off of student loans to support Larry and I.
