Orphanage Building for Joy of Living

My name is Karen and I am raising money for the Joy of living Orphanage in Haiti. Sylvie and Angele have been running this wonderful orphanage for many years and they currently care for 22 children, most of whom have AIDs. These two French-Canadian women give of themselves each and everyday selflessly to care for the enormous needs of these children with very little funding.  The children all are very well taken care of, they do attend school and enjoy daily worship and Bible teaching
They recently had to move to a new piece of land, with a small building built and overwhelming construction costs, they still need to build another building and small school. These women are very strong for they deal with adversity every day in Haiti. It is easy to get discouraged in Haiti, for the way things work there are VERY different then here in the US. However they know that God is in control and they draw comfort from that knowledge. This courage and strength makes me want to help them even more.
 All money raised will be used towards the building expenses on their new land that they owe currently and will need in order to continue the building process.  I have already visited them five times myself and I am crazy about these women and these children - they are loving and kind and they make me always want to do more. They show me how I can always be a better person myself, to always do more for others, regardless of current situation.
