We have recently found, (through a friend of Eddies), a new very reputable clinic in Germany,  which will make his treatment a lot cheaper and will allow him to do his treatment nearby!  The Clinic ‘St George, (see link below), has a Lyme specialized treatment program where many people from the States have also found successful treatment.  After researching, we have found that they have the same level of success rate of curing as the other treatment center in Florida. We are excited to pursue this course, as it will be much less complicated and costly to attain.

We want to thank all those who have helped us financially so far!  We ask for your continued prayers as we look forward to reaching our goal and healing for Eddie.

Our goal has been updated, as we would now only need a third of the original amount for treatment.  Praising God!

Joyful in hope..

When Eddie Popa was bit by a tick 12 years ago in Germany, he never dreamed of the changes his life would take.  Living in Europe as a very active, healthy, husband and father of 2 girls, Eddie enjoyed traveling, was active in the church, and was physically fit.  He now has neurological Lyme disease, which affects his mobility & speech. During the early stage of his Lyme disease, he developed physical symptoms rendering him incapable of picking up his 2 1/2 year old daughter and limiting his ability to play with the girls.

Following several miss diagnoses in the U.S, Europe and then multiple medical protocols, his condition continued to deteriorate affecting his walking ability and his ability to speak clearly.  The delay in proper treatment caused the Lyme disease to progress. Eddie is still able to drive a car and walk very slowly on a flat surface. However, even a windy day influences his balance and he has had multiple falls and hospitalizations. His numerous falls have resulted in injuries including a traumatic brain injury following a fall down stairs at home, a broken shoulder, and broken fingers.

Eddie keeps pushing on, and even though for the past 10 years he has been fighting this debilitating illness, his faith in God keeps him very positive about the future. 

After conventional medicine failed to improve his condition, he sought multiple alternative treatments and has spent tens of thousands of dollars in medical costs not covered by insurance.

Dr. Sponaugle, located in Florida, has had incredible success at treating difficult Chronic Lyme cases such as Eddies, but his treatments are not covered by insurance. Dr. Sponaugle treats chronic Lyme disease patients from around the world and the majority of them have undergone previous treatment by 20 or more physicians. His unique Lyme protocol has been successful in treating these chronic cases. Eddie wishes to be treated at the Sponaugle Wellness Institute. However the cost of travel to the United States and the lengthy treatment is financially out of reach. 

The Popa family would greatly appreciate any financial support you feel inspired to give, to cover flight costs and the intensive 2-3 month treatment plan. His begins November 2019.
